I have some semi jacketed hollow point .357 ammo where the lead has turned white. Can I shoot this safely? Brass and copper are in good shape though. thanks.

In a word yes.

the lead has just oxidized (sort of like rust for lead) while I would use it for Defencive purposes it should be perfectly fine for practice.

jmlv is right - they should work fine.

Just don't put them in your mouth or up your nose or such - oxidized lead is more easily absorbed and more likely to contribute to lead poisoning.

(I ain't a physician, so I haven't a clue how much you'd have to handle 'em for this - I just know its easier than with fresh, clean lead)
