Has anyone done it? I've seen a youtube video where a guy did it to an FNP-9, which is a very similar gun.
When I actuate the safety with my right thumb, the ambi portion on the opposite side interferes with my grip. It hits me right around the meet at the base of my index finger right before the webbing.
My concern is if I simply remove the ambi side, the safety might just fall right through and out. I don't know how it is retained inside the frame.
