If I'm not mistaken you may have a real tough time finding ammo for it. Pre 1900's before the Colt .32 New Police cloned the popular .32 S&W Long and Short ammo, Colts .32 ammo did not match S&W and I don't think one worked in the other due to slight differences in size. .32 S&W ammo is hard to find but still available. Colt .32, other than Colt New Police (which is the same as .32 S&W) is no longer made, and may be impossible to find. Do some searching, someone with more knowledge can probably explain it better.

Otherwise, neat pistol. Looks like an NAA mini revolver. If they made one like that today in .32 S&W or .32 H&R Magnum I would buy it in a heartbeat

Thanks for the input.

The speciman that I am privy to has serial number 14XXX which apparently puts date of manufacture in 1878.

I believe the gun shoots .32 Rimfire.

I'd say you're right about the rimfire part, you can see the edge of the firing pin in the photo there up near the top of the cylinder.
