Colt 45 series 70...?

hi can anyone tell me if the sights on this gun came on this gun. i thought i had it sold for 700.00 pluse shipping, but the guy thought the sights were not original...thanks

thanks men, i did not know. i looked it up by the ser # and it said made in 1974.the gun is so clean i dont know why someone would have made these changes...? thanks again

They look like Millett sights, and if the front is a Dual-Crimp style, you are sort of stuck with it. The D-C uses two round rivets that are staked in place, and the size and spacing of the holes leaves you without any other options unless you want to weld-up the holes and start over again. I used a D-C sight for years, and there's really nothing wrong with them, as long as Millett makes a sight that you like.
