Colt 15A3 new acquisition

Same co worker needed cash for his taxes I got my 45 ACP commander from. I bought this from him for $550.00 .LEO trade in, he said he bought last year..I Don't have alot of knowledge on these, but I think I did ok..Just wondering what you pros thinkk..

If the guns prove to be safe,accurate,and reliable,then yes it appears to be a good deal.Assuming you did not pay too much,only you have to be happy.:D

I was afraid this only shot .223. No nato markings on the barrel for .556, however, it was discovered the barrel was cut down, and this end was welded on, hence the missing rollmark. From the expert I spoke with a my LGS, colt never made a military style AR 15 platform that only shot .223, so it looks like I'm good to go..

Colt did make numerous AR15 rifles in .223.

It's my understanding that these Colts were marked .223 for political reasons only, and are quite capable of firing 5.56mm NATO safety. Perhaps someone here can elaborate further.
