CMP M1 grades

Hey --

Anyone out there have recent experiance with CMP M1 grades?

Like what you got for what you paid?

I'm debating the price jump down from collector grade --- I'd rather not spend 1400 on a M1, but then I'm thinking about it as I like to start with nice guns and keep them nice.

A $500 Service grade is going to be in teh same mechanical condition that a $1400 Collectors grade is going to be in. The Collectors grade simply has all the correct parts and markings, whereas the service might ahve had parts swapped out when it was rebuilt.

The CMP says the backorder for service grade (greek and USGI) is probably going to get longer.

North store still has them listed as in stock. If you live anywhere near Northern Ohio, it may be worth the trip to the store. Plus, you get to hand select the gun you want, instead of doing luck of the draw.
