CMP Games

Not bad enough that for the CMP GSM vintage rifle matches you have to have a Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military Bolt gun and Carbine, but now you have to have a Vintage (pre-1950) sniper rifle for the sniper rifle matches which will be included in the CMP Games.

Now I have to buy another rifle, when will it end?

I'm waiting for the CMP to start a 3-gun league. Remington 11's, 1911's and M1 carbines.

In particular, I want to see pics of Zak Smith on the trail, lugging around an M1-D sniper Garand with an M1 paratrooper carbine across his back and a 75 year old 1911A1 on his hip.

I shot a two gun match this last weekend using the 1911 and Carbine. Did alright with the pistol but the carbine wasn't quite precision enough, but still it was fun.
