This was listed as a Model 70 Target Rifle, Missing Parts.
I figured what to heck, I have some Winchester parts so I won the auction. Turns out all it was missing was the bolt. 308 Tgt Barrel in Win Marksman Stock. I had a bolt so got out the head space gages. Really tight on the Go gage. New Winchester brass fits, but again tight. If I run the brass through a SB die it goes in easy.
I had the sights, and will change the scope mounts to Weaver for my Weaver T-10. I also have a palm rest. The barrel looks great. It does have the clip guide in case I decide to shoot a high power match.
My neighbor works nights so I have to wait a couple hours to shoot it.
I bought it for the action thinking I was gonna build a 260 but I don't know, gonna have to see how it shoots in 308. Not about to throw away a good barrel.
So I guess I'm still in the market for a Model 70 Action.
