This past Sunday night, a Cleveland Ohio police officer was shot in the face after he made a traffic stop. Based on the called-in license plate number the officer made before getting out of his car, police later apprehended a suspect 100 miles away in Columbus. Officer (to be posted here) later died in the hospital. He was 30 years old, married and had a 2-year old at home.
The suspect has been arraigned on Aggrivated Murder charges after being transported back to Cleveland. The suspect has a lengthy criminal record. Prosecuters may seek the death penalty.
Services are scheduled for tonight and tomorrow, and burial is scheduled for Friday.
