Here's a copy and paste from the good Senators web page:

"Senator Schumer is the leading advocate for gun control in Congress. Among his many accomplishments as a Congressman are the passage of the Brady Bill in 1993, the Assault Weapons Ban in 1994, and the Cop Killer Bullet Ban:

• The Brady Bill has successfully stopped 242,000 felons from buying handguns.

• Passed in 1993, the Brady Bill requires all licensed firearm dealers to run a background check on perspective handgun owners.

• The bill also mandated a five day waiting period to run the background check until November 30, 1998 when the FBI implemented the nationwide instant background check system.

• The 1994 Assault Weapons Ban restricts the manufacture, sale, or possession of semiautomatic weapons.

• The law also prohibits the transfer or possession of ammunition devices capable of holding more than 10 rounds and mandates all new feeding devices be identified with a serial number.

• The Cop Killer Bullet Ban was added to the Omnibus Crime Act of 1994 by Schumer. It prohibits the manufacture and importation of "full jacket projectiles" greater than .22 caliber."

Says something about the psychology of someone when they take credit for banning something that does not exist.

Why is it that I think that guy is from somewhere in the Twilight Zone?

A classic socialist for a socialist state. The evil rise in power because of the people. Remember, the people of Germany elected Hitler too.

Warning, Schumer is exactly the sort of tyrannising do-gooder who would unleash actual criminals to victimize innocents in the name of promoting safety and security.

If you read the text of the bill just introduced by him and his sick ilk you see a blueprint outlining the coming police state. Think you have rights? Yeah, just like in the socialist countries, you have rights, the ones the rulers let you have. Let's put two and two together.

From the Firearm Licensing and Sale Record Act of 2000

Read Section 103(c)(2). YOU WILL BE LICENSED TO OWN A HANDGUN OR SA CENTERFIRE RIFLE.

Next read Section 304 (ee). You must report your address to the state!

THAT IS RIGHT FOLKS, IF YOU OWN A GUN YOU MUST REGISTER YOURSELF WITH THE STATE!! YOUR ADDRESS IS ON FILE WITH THE STATE BECAUSE YOU OWN A GUN!! Read it for yourself...

SEC. 103. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.

(a) IN GENERAL- The Secretary shall issue a firearm license to an applicant who has submitted an application that meets the requirements of section 102, if the individual is not prohibited by subsection (g) or (n) of section 922 of title 18, United States Code, from receiving a firearm.

(b) EFFECT OF ISSUANCE TO PROHIBITED PERSON- A firearm license issued under this section shall be null and void if issued to a person who is prohibited by subsection (g) or (n) of section 922 of title 18, United States Code, from receiving a firearm.

(c) FORM OF LICENSE- A firearm license issued under this section shall be in the form of a tamper-resistant card, and shall include--

(1) the photograph of the licensed individual submitted with the application;

!!!***(2) the address of the licensed individual;***!!!

(3) the date of birth of the licensed individual;

(4) a license number, unique to each licensed individual;

(5) the expiration date of the license, which shall be the date that is 5 years after the initial anniversary of the date of birth of the licensed individual following the date on which the license is issued (or in the case of a license renewal, following the date on which the license is renewed under section 104);

(6) the signature of the licensed individual provided on the application, or a facsimile thereof; and

(7) centered at the top of the license, capitalized, and in bold-face type, the following statement:

`FIREARM LICENSE--NOT VALID FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE'.

SEC. 304. FAILURE TO PROVIDE NOTICE OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS.

Section 922 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after subsection (dd) (as added by section 303 of this title) the following:

###`(ee) FAILURE TO PROVIDE NOTICE OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS- It shall be unlawful for any individual to whom a firearm license has been issued under title I of the Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2000 to fail to report to the Secretary a change in the address of that individual within 60 days of that change of address.###

(b) FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS; FAILURE TO TIMELY REPORT LOSS OR THEFT OF A QUALIFYING FIREARM; FAILURE TO PROVIDE NOTICE OF CHANGE OF ADDRESS- Section 924(a)(5) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking `(s) or (t)' and inserting `(s), (t), (bb), (dd), or (ee)'.

REGISTER WITH THE STATE OR BECOME A LAWBREAKER! If this law passes it will set the pattern for numerous laws that will appropriate your liberty, property, and self-respect.

But wait, there's more...

This bill is called "The Juvenile Gun Loophole Act"
It infringes on the rights of those younger than 21 and older than 18. It is a clear case of an unconstitutional law being introduced by a radical freedom-hating leftist.

http://rs9.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c106:41:./temp/~c106VDHjaD::

This bill appropriates your freedom to purchase private property as you see fit to do so. Once again, leftist freedom-haters are hard at work making sure you are under their control. After all, if there is no God, someone has to do the job of being omniscient, why not Chuckie and his friends? Why is it called "To Reduce Gun Trafficing by Prohibiting Bulk Purchases of Handguns". It should be called "The first step to eliminating all property rights act."

Heck, you New Yorkers are way behind on the Fifty Year Plan. Illinois already has a system in place to register all gun owners. I'm registered. Got a FOID when I was a kid so I could hunt with dad; when I realized what it was, it was a little late to put the horse back in the barn.

Fight any such attempt for all you're worth, because there is no second chance. Now that the FOID has been in place for 20 years or so, it is the most reasonable gun law ever created and is practically above reproach. There's a repeal mechanism built in, but it just isn't going to happen in the next ten years. Once people get used to something, that's it.

I have an idea for Sen. Schumer. If we will be required to have a nifty ID card for the benefit of LEO of various stripes, why not move to the next step and require contributions to a DNA database. That way if a fingerprint is unintelligable, at least the DNA can be used to chase us down. Better yet, let's assign a unique identifier such as a SSN, but we can't use it as an identification number. That would be against the law. But I digress. I suggest linking a unique identifier to a unique identifier on each gun. That way LE can chase down the owner of any gun found involved in a crime IF THE GUN WAS REGISTERED.

Schumer and his ilk control for the sake of control. He is no idiot (contrary to the evidence). What he is proposing is perfectly consistent with a desire to eventually confiscate all firearms.

Why is anyone surprised??

Little Chuckie Schumer ranks down there with little dickie Gephardt, Davey Bonior, Fat Al Sharptoon, Jesse "the shlong" Jackson and Little tommy daschle: all they want to do is take away your rights to keep themselves in power. They are obdurate simpletons who have no sense of what it takes to maintain a free society. This man must be defeated and defanged. New York is rapidly going the way of California - my god they voted for that criminal whore Hillary!!!!!! Wake up America.......

Already here in PRNYS

Guys, if I'm not mistaken, the "bill" that Bam Bam posted is being proposed correct? Much of it seems to be taken from the NYS pistol permit. I have a PRNYS pistol permit and did you know that I have to notify the pistol permit office within TEN (10) days of moving or changing employers!?! And since all my pistols are REGISTERED on my permit, I have to notify them within ten days if one is missing or stolen.

Again, go here to see a copy of my NYS pistol permit and all the info that's on it:

Of course if schumer has his way, it'll be even worse.
