Chinese SKS bayonette

I have a Norinco SKS that appeared to be unfired, and it shoots well. One small problem that I have with it, is the screw that acts as the pivot point for the spike bayo, seems to be backed out partially. (Head of the screw has a gap between it and the bracket)Is this normal? I tried screwing it in, and it doesnt budge. Anyone else have a similar screw?-Thanks Brothus!

Yep, the head of the screw that attaches my bayonet to the lug of my SKS is not snug-to-the-lug. However, mine isn't sticking out excessively so either.
I'm planning on removing mine, so I'm not concerned.
I don't think the problem you're having is all too uncommon, if it continues to bother you, see if you can't shorten the bolt length and give it another go.

Good luck
