My new Zenith fits perfect in a 5.11 tactical bag. It's even got a neat slot in from for a smaller handgun.

Yes, I will CC this pistol everywhere it's legal to do so.

Night sights going on soon. First test fire this weekend! :)

Yup, ATF approved!

I had to go with an angled foregrip because it's only 13" OAL.

It should be a sweet set up. I'll report back after running it through it's paces.

Wow. Nice set up. Got a question though. Why can't semi auto versions of the HK MP5 be had in the US??

They can, but options are expensive. HK did not import them for a long time and is now importing them as the SP89 (at an MSRP over $2,000 IIRC). HK94s were the original semi auto MP5s and they are now very expensive collector items. Companies like Zenith and a few others now produce them in the price range above $1,000 but below the $2,000 that a real HK would run.

I can't fault you for choosing to exercise your right to bear arms however you want if you're doing so safely. I had thought about it in the past, where here you can carry anything so long as it is no more than 12 inches along its greatest dimension (meaning an Mp5 probably wouldn't work). That said, most encounters where you're going to need a gun will be close, quick, and require a few rounds. Probably best not to abandon carrying a handgun on your waist for the big majority of defensive situations.

I have idea why a company such as PTR Industries doesn't make semi-auto MP5 clones for no more and maybe a bit less than there standard .308 rifles. I'd buy one so fast!

OP, that is an AWESOME gun! I'm so jealy!!

I got to shoot this beast last night.

Zenith told me to break it in with +P or NATO ammo. I didn't have any of that so I used some mild hand loads.

At first I got lots of jams but the pistol quickly started to break in. By the third magazine it got through 30 rounds without a hiccup.

I also brought some 147 Hornady XTP bullets loaded near max pressure with power pistol powder. They all fed and fired perfectly. I'm glad it likes these hollow points because they are my projectile of choice when it comes to self-defense.

This morning I put XS night sights on it. The front is tritium and the rear is a peep.

The pistol fires so smoothly. I can dump a mag as fast as I can pull the trigger and still stay on target. If you can afford it, I would highly recommend this Zenith pistol.
