Celebrity Anti-Gunners-The List

Fourdiamonds

New member
Maybe it has been done before, but lets list all the Celebs who have proven to be anti-gun.
For instance= Danny Glover and Mel Gibson in their series of Lethal Weapon. I can't remember all of them, so help me out.

It'd be easier to list the PRO-gun celebs, since there's far fewer of them. For example:

Tom Selleck
Clint Eastwood
Leslie Easterbrook
Jeri Ryan
Steven Seagal
Drew Carey
James Hetfield
Ted Nugent (Nooooj!)
Conan O'Brien

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my shiny pointy head. I'm sure other TFLers have a more comprehensive list.

Happy to learn about Drew. Like him. Bummed about Sean (sometimes Scottish is---). Buffy is Sarah Michelle Geller. Obviously, a well rounded gal, seriously :). Coin is correct as usual, the hollywood list on the pro freedom side is awful short. Hard to believe since most of what they produce is so true to life. Huh? Oh well, we proletariate just ain't got no taste.

Conan O'Brien? That's a shocker.

I have heard that Cybil Shephard was pro-gun but I recall her name being on some anti-gun legislations petitions. A mixed bag.

Don't forget Penn of Penn & Teller.

Also, I watched Politically Incorrect and the acto Joe Montegna made a statment "In the 50s people could buy guns out of the Sears catalog and you didn't see people shooting up schools. It must be something else..."

Rick Schroeder is mildly pro gun. So is the red-haired actress who played "grandma" on the Carol Burnett Show. Hell, she is rabid pro gun....um...Vicky Lawrence, yeah.

Stallone has his own gun range but it is only for him. He was quoted as saying that guns in America should be confiscated last year.

I had a suspicion that Geller is pro-gun but it is unconfirmed, as yet.

National Organizations With Anti-Gun Policies

The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI "Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws." Many of these organizations were listed as "Campaign Partners," for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton "assault weapons" ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions.

Gary--

You think Clint Eastwood is antigun? What leads you to that impression?

I'm just curious because I've always heard the opposite.

All,

Please help me out here, folks.

I have to get new cell phone service. Southwestern Bell and Sprint are listed above, but not AT&T. I thought AT&T were anti-Constitutional as well?

Comments?

ATT sucks. I was recently charged 40 bucks for a 30 min. call because I don't make enough LD calls each month. Screw em! I now have no LD carrier and simply purchase a pre-paid card and keep it next to the phone, thus eliminating a 40% tax. ATT (as a creditor) will up a % rate on a credit card loan if you are late on another card. Don't matter if they got paid first, they will profit from your problem. I don't use them but know their game. Did I mention they suck? Sorry Dennis, no help on Sprint or SWB(I would start here). Local guys are always good.

I saw an AWFUL lot of names on that list who MADE THEIR LIVING off movie posters showing them brandishing weapons.

While they only PLAY at being gangsters and cops and robbers.. while many of them lounge in creature comforts behind gated walls.

Lessons to be learned:

1. Rich people can afford to be anti-gun.
2. many people are hypocrites
3. sometimes even your hero can let you down.

The constitution was written for every american.. We the People are still in charge.

I think Geena Davis is pro-gun too. She is a world class archer and I thought I heard somewhere that she is pro-gun.

Thanks KimberMan. I knew a whole bunch of them were anti, but I printed the whole damn list and I can start writing letters and spreading the word.

William Jefferson Clinton is anti-gun/self defense, so is Janet Reno.

Geez, what a list! Thanks! If all of the names on that list are anti-gun, then there are more morons in the world than I thought. It just proves to me what I've thought all along--that most people who act for a living are idiots. Where do you think most actors would be if they hadn't hit the big time? Exactly where they were before made it big--in menial jobs with little or no future.
And they deign to tell me how I should live?!
Isn't it strange that an industry that's made up of so many anti-gunners, and that keeps pumping out the same old nihilistic kill-'em-by-the-hundreds-with-blazing-guns bilge year after year, should criticize the mechanical objects which are their bread and butter? Hollywood has long ago ceased to make movies that have any appeal to me (and I'm only 40). I enjoy a movie with a compelling story, interesting characters, and a cohesive plot that can be comprehended by those of us who are not high on recreational drugs. Instead, what we get are "movies" with plotlines that serves only to give an excuse to rack up the body count. A perfect example is "The Matrix." What was that **** supposed to be about? What an asinine pretense for a movie, if you can dignify it with that term.

I guess what really soured me on Hollywood was when I started reading classic literature a couple of years back. Hollywood's lightweight plotlines just can't compare.
Well, I know where I won't be spending any of my disposable income anymore.
