Just curious if and how you folks CCW with Ruger's new 45 Auto (P-345) and get some feedback on this pistol.

Just purchased a new KP-345PR and am considering buying a smaller 45 semi-auto to carry during the summer - or - using a compact 9mm during the summer and the P-345 in the winter.

Smaller 45 semi-auto pistol I'm considering is Taurus' new PT-145 Millennium Pro, show below.

Thank-you in advance of your expertise.

P.S.:

Another option is Taurus' medium sized 24 / 7 in 45 Auto, but I suspect that it's 4" barrel and frame will not be much smaller than the nifty Ruger P-345 with 4 1/4" barrel.

PT-145 has a 3.27" barrel, capacity is 10 + 1, and weight is 23.5-oz's.
24 / 7 has a 4" barrel, capacity is 12 + 1, and weight is 27.2-oz's.

I carry a 345 alot of the time, even in the summer. I carry it in a Don Hume JIT belt slide holster. It's comfortable to carry, it's thinner than my Sigs and lighter than my 1911. It's a pleasure to shoot and never malfunctioned after over 700 rounds. I do not like the Millenium Pro. The one I shot was not as nice to shoot, maybe because it's a shorter barrell with the .45. I carry mine probable half the time, split between my Sig pro 2340 and 229.
