I am in the process of building a .338 win. mag. when it is completed I would like to shoot some cast bullets in it.My reason for doing this is so that I can get in some target shooting with low recoil reduced loads.I do not cast my own.Does anyone have any favorites for the .338 that would work well for this purpose?I also mite like to try this gun on deer and black bear with a cast bullet, any thoughts on this?

Wildcat. RCBS has a 200 gr. bullet that should work for you. (#33-200FN) it is a flat nose gas checked bullet. I don't have this one yet, but I have several RCBS molds, and I much prefer them to the Lymans.
If you can't find one, Lyman has two, #338320 (200 gr.) and #33889 (250 Gr.) Lyman recently went to a 6 digit number system so that 250 gr. bullet may now be 338089. They are both gas checked bullets.
Hope that helped.
