Yes, it can. Just go to a 22# rec spring.

Very few commercial guns can withstand a regular diet of +P+ ammo. Sooner or later, most will break down.

The Frame and Slide are plenty strong, use a stronger recoil spring and see if your'e getting battering of the parts. You can shoot it alot and be fine....just check your gun out from time to time. Shoot well..........
