Can I ship a gun along with ammo or not?

I'm sending a gun to an FFL out of state, via UPS overnight shipping. Two boxes of ammo is included in the deal. Do I need to ship that separately, directly to the buyer of the gun?
First time doing this......

You can ship the ammo in the "locked" case with the unloaded firearm provided the ammo is in a cartridge box. No loose ammo.
Thats how it is on Delta so I assume it is the same on all airlines.
