calling buckmark experts again

A friend is having problems with his Buckmark URX trigger resetting.
I advised him to make sure the long end of the spring was to the rear.
The old Buckmark U spring was longer on one side than the other, and as per this article on rimfire, the long side needed to be to the rear to reset the trigger bar plate:

The first photo is of the old Buckmarks with the assymetrical spring. This photo shows the longer side of the U spring to the rear.
But my friends newer Buckmark has a symetrical U spring now as shown in the second photo. When I recently ordered a new U spring from Brownells, they sent the old assymetrical spring.

SO what gives. Did Buckmark change the spring and it doesn't matter.

with the old spring it does matter. The short side will not reset reliably.
Looks though in the bottom photo that the new spring has enough contact for reset.
