Looking for a new rest as my Rock Deluxe is falling apart. I am looking at the Caldwell Benchrest rest. Any issues with these that I should stay away from them?

I haven't seen the Caldwell product you are referring to, but Caldwell products are usually in the "good" category of "good/better/best". That said, I have used Caldwell products for many years with few complaints. If you want something a bit better, look at Sinclair's website, but expect to pay more for it.

What Scorch said. I used a Caldwell for a couple of years then went to a Sinclair heavy rest when I went to F Open and that thing is a boat anchor. Lately I have been looking at these

Just to keep from lugging that Sinclair back and forth to the line

as an alternative just to keep from carrying such that heavy rest to the line and back. Another good alternative is the F class style bipod

They work great with narrow factory stocks as well as wide flat BR stocks. With a good rear squeeze bag setup you can shoot just as tight a group as you can with a heavy rest. I use mine in rimfire benchrest factory class with 1.5 inch a rounded sporter stock. To me they are more much versatile than a benchrest but then I cut my teeth on FT/R
