C&R in MD?

Ok, in trying to prep myself for my time in the Socialist Republik of Maryland I'm looking into getting my Curio and Relics FFL.

Are they going to give me a ton of crap and or deny my application? Doesn't the local law have to sign off on it? I have never had one so I'm new to all of this.

Was hoping it would be a way for me to still be able to pick up some nice older items and not suffer through the MD pain.

Looking for advice and your experience with this as.

Thanks,

Generally, it's a straightforward deal, fill up all the required info. include the certificate of compliance and payment. Usually takes 30-60 days to process, some folks were able to get the federal license within a 30 day period. I waited for nearly 3 months for my type03 FFL though.

Your local CLEO/Sheriff doesn't need to take any action on his part, he doesn't have any say whatsoever in regards to your type03 FFL provided you have a clean record.

A friend of mine up the road in Baltimore picked up his FFL recently, said it was a very simple process. Couple of added bonuses, beyond the C&R items being shipped directly to you:

- Dealer Discounts at Midway, Brownells, etc.

- Legal to carry if you are transporting any part of your collection to show.

Good Luck!

Here's hoping Ehrlich straightens out some of the gun control nonsense in the Free State!

Great, that's good news! Was afraid MD had also found a way to screw up the C&R also.

Got a clean record so I see no issues.

Will get it started as soon as I get an address again.

Thanks,
