butler Creek Stock with bipod

Has anyone messed with one of these for centerfire rifles? Are the legs fairly stable? Is it very heavy? Would there still be room to mount a Ching sling between the cut out and the bottom metal of a Mauser? Any other comments?

I'm a loyal BC follower and I have the stock/bipod on one of my 10/22s. The bipod, I would imagine, should be identical to the ones for the full size rifle stock except for length.

My opinion is that the bipod is not as sturdy and stable as I thought it would be. It is entirely plastic and is quite flexible, particularly if it is extended to full length. Also, the spread of the bipod is not as wide as an add on bipod like Harris, B-Square, Parker-Hale/Versa-pod, etc. The biggest plus is, of course, it folds flush into the stock. When extended, the recess the bipod goes into is actually a cutout. The barrel is exposed on the underside. This could aid cooling.
