The manual says the safety can be converted to left hand operation by a qualified gunsmith. Does anyone know if that requires parts? While I would like to find a gunsmith, if I could find a good diagram, instructions and parts if required, I think I could manage it. Anybody try it before?

I have done it for friends on Golds and SX-2s let me pull my trigger and look at it, I will snap some pictures as well.
That would be great. I am usually more curious and try to tear things down myself for a look see. I don't want to goof it up since its new and I have yet to find any details on how its done. Usually you find something on the net, but this time nada. Thanks for your response.

I took the plunge and pulled it apart myself. Thanks for the offer cowboy.
1. Make sure the firearm is unloaded
2. Pull the trigger assembly pins
3. Pull the assembly
4. Pull the spring in pic 1 carefully (it can launch about six feet)
5. Push the little retention pin up and slide the safety bar out
6. Push the pin back down and pull out of the hole
7. Flip the assembly over
8. Push the retention pin through the hole on the side you are looking at
9. Flip the safety bar around and slide in the hole si it show red on the correct side
10. Push the retention pin down to retain the safety bar
11. Squeeze the spring back in its place carefully (it can launch six feet)
12. Insert the assembly back in the receiver
13. Push the pins back into place
14. Cycle and ensure that it works on and off

I haven't had time, hunted everyday since i posted that and kept thinking the birds would thin but there thicker now than anytime this season. i saw a raft of about 30/35 canvasbacks with 4-5 big bull shooters, so back at it this morning
