Braverman Pen Guns - what's up with these????

I've noticed that Braverman / Stinger pen guns (non-nfa type) have gone from selling at around the $500 price level to about $1,000 in less than a year. Can anyone tell me why these things are getting relatively scarce and extremely expensive?

I don't think it would be today. Not that I think its an NFA, but the tiny little trigger with no trigger guard - just don't know if that would fly today. Otherwise, I'd think that at $500+ someone could make a fortune selling these things.

I am not familiar with this piece.

I am thinking of an unfortunate incident I experienced long ago carrying a Colt Tear Gas Pen in my hip pocket.It involved standing up in a rest room stall and starting to pull my pants up.Darn thing fell out on the floor,and it was not drop safe.I'll let it go at that.

They are an oddity, since they are out of production it is supply vs demand.

I bought mine years ago, the serial number range of mine is B0043xx.

Everyone should have one if you need one of everything.

Mine is a 25Cal SR #B0006XX

As I mentioned..I have a Braverman .25cal. pen gun. They are very quality m made . Only take a second to put in the firing mode. Neatest thing you could lay it on a table at McD's and it would draw no attention. Thus a used one commands a good price.
