Boyd's laminated stocks...

i have a boyds laminated on a markII 7mm mag, and just got one with the thumbhole for a howa1500 30.06..... just wondering if anyone else has one and likes or dislikes.... are they a good stock for the money?

You have two more than most of us - you're probably a better judge.

Boyds makes decent stocks but you may still want to have a smith bed the action for you.

I've only bought a couple of Boyds shocks, based on how they turned out I wouldnt hesitate buying more. Fact is I have a couple projects lined up now and I'll probably use boyds on them too. The quality is good, and I like their service.

This one came with the butt pad installed, sling swivels installed, and had a clear coat.

It needed to be bedded and I had to remove wood in the bolt handle notch.

I like that the buttstock is longer than average, and it is a comfortable stock to shoot.

This is a M700 in 30-06.
