bore brush for G23?

My partner has a Gluck 23. Inside the tuperware container that it came in was a plastic bore brush. He says that "only" plastic brushes should be used to clean the bore. He says that you could "harm" the bore if you used a brass brush.

Now I know that after 13+ years of cleaning my SIG P226 with a brass brush the bore is as good (at least it shoots) as ever.

Do any of you G fans use a something other than a plastic brush to clean your weapons?

Thank you!

Joe

The Glocks' barrel is steel. Excellent steel at that. A brass brush will not harm it. The plastic brush that came with the gun was just cheaper for Glock, Inc. to include.

A plastic brush kind of keeps with the theme.
