Blue Mag Bases?

Anyone ever figure out what the blue mag bases are for or where they are from? I saw another episode on Cops last night and they were with a P.D. in Washington state and all the officers had them. Just curious?

Orange is usually an inert trainer magazine/weapon.

Blue is usually associated with trainers or paint guns.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

Mag bases are available in about any color you want. Some people use them to designate different calibers....blue has no significance that I'm aware of. Color coded mine for 38 Super, 10mm, and 45ACP.

If you are talking about light blue bases, I believe they are either dummy magazines, or magazines loaded with blanks. Only used for training purposes.

NO, These are not dummy mags, it is just the base that is blue. The blue is the color of Dillon Blue. These were on Cops as duty weapons, trust me they are not dummy mags!! I was just curious as I have seen this on a few episodes with different PD's.
