Now he wants all residents of public housing to submit to mandatory fingerprinting.

It's just a little liberty, to be sacrificed in the name of public safety. No big deal, right?

This does not feel like the country in which I grew up. Founders would be disgusted. We really should revive tar and feathers...

So...because they can't keep traditional locks operational the solution is to put in more expensive harder to repair and replace systems that also infringe on general privacy?

Are there even scanners that could hold up to that volume of use under real world conditions?
