BLM vs. Lead

There have been several threads recently about lead. These threads were mainly discussions about its toxicity. We can debate that issue all day. But this is one aspect of the lead that better be taken seriously.

Starting in a couple of weeks, officials with BLM are going to start to debate the banning of lead on lands managed by them. In other words, if this regulation passes, hunters and shooter would not be allowed to discharge lead bullets into BLM land. This includes bullets shot for target practice and plinking.

A decision could be made as early as next month.

BLM.... nice guys... The Tucson Rod and Gun Club which was open from the 30's I think was shut down by BLM. They leased land from BLM for the range and as the Anti Gunners started moving in, they complained, BLM shut the Club down.
That is why I always suggest to any Club to buy ALL the surrounding land they can afford. Keep the Anti's as far away from your property as possible not only because of impact problems, but noise pollution.
