Blackhawk modification

I keep reading about the poor mans trigger job on a blackhawk. Has anyone done this? Does it harm the gun? Wouldn't it be better to just order lighter trigger springs form Wolf?

I am getting a Blackhawk this week and was doing some research. As always I appreciate any info.

Go to brownells and order the spring kit for the New Model blackhawk from Wolff it comes with 3 different weight hammer springs and a light weight trigger spring. Easy to install. works great and the easest trigger job I ever had done.

Take off the grips. One leg off the hammer spring post. Put the grips back on. Easy....and it works great!

Getting ready to work mine up also.

You may want to look at another cylinder pin (cheap upgrade).

Maybe another ejector rod housing (don't like the Al one)

I think a big improvement is the mod to let the cylinder rotate freely. I hate trying to reload and missing the holes.
