Best fix for a RH threaded ejector rod?

I'd recently picked up an older 4 screw S&W combat masterpiece (i.e. pre-15 ) revolver. It has a RH threaded ejector rod, which tends to unscrew. What's the best way to fix that?

I know that blue loctite is a popular solution, but are there others?

This is a gun that I'm intending for range use primarily. I'd just like to avoid damaging the ejector rod.

Actually , I would make sure the threads are totally clean and oil free and use purple Loctite (222MS). It's made for fine thread machine screws and removable if needed.

Clean the threads, both male and female, with alcohol to make sure they are clean and oil free. Put a “very” small dab of LocTite on the end of the male threads and screw it together. Let sit for an hour or so and then have fun shooting.

Heads up! Makes sure you use 222MS Purple or 242 Blue. LocTite makes different strengths in both Purple and Blue. While you will be able to get it back apart using heat, if you use the right stuff you won’t need heat. ;)
