Beretta 92fs recessed firing pin hole - Normal?

Hey guys,

Had a discussion lately as to whether the recessed firing pin hole on this Beretta 92fs Inox (Italian) is normal or not.

What are your thoughts?

I have 6 Berettas... But, I sorta thought that maybe it was a USA versus Italian thing..

Sure enough... My Italian 92FS has the look of your photo. My USA made M9A1 does not have that extra indentation around the firing pin hole. So, that seems to be the difference.

There are a few other minor differences between the way Italy and USA make the 92s...

I looked at the rest of mine...


ALL of the italian ones (90-Two, 92A1 and an 92FS) have that recess. The USA ones (two M9a1s and a 92FS) do not...

I've checked my Italians as well and its the same deal, my US made Vertec does not have it.

A new difference between Italian and US made Berettas I never new about.
