Beretta 92 Questions

I have always liked the way the beretta 92's looked and felt. And I have shot a few but all the ones I have fired have had bad triggers. I keep hearing that a D-spring helps with the trigger...is this true? Does it decrease the trigger pull weight or does it help smooth it out the trigger or both? Also how much does a D-spring cost?

16# wolf main spring will make a HUGE difference. I have never had a missfire in a LOT of rnds. I concider it mandatory. I have not tried the D but it sounds interesting.

I have a D spring installed on my 92FS but I've never found the factory triger to be bad comparing to ther DA/SA & DAO automatics.

It will take off about 3-4lbs of a DA pull and about a 1lb of the SA pull. The actual pull length of course stays the same.

I only paid $4 for it and installed it myself in a couple of minutes :)

Yes, a D-spring helps. It reduces the pull weight but does little to smooth out the creep. A good hammer and sear polishing will help with that.
