Benelli M4 Super 90

Just got my new Benelli catalog today.

The new Joint Service Combat Shotgun is featured in all of it's mouth-watering glory.

I personally haven't seen or heard much about this new shotgun. Anyone know when they're supposed to hit the shelves? It looks like the old M3 but has a new rail above receiver and a sweet folding/adjustable buttstock.
I need one!

As per the October 1999 issue SAR; "Sales of the M4 Super 90/XM1014 will be handled by Benelli, save for US shotguns produced under the current military contract, which are H&K's province."

FWIW, the M4 is NOT simply an M3 with picatinny rail. The M4 uses a new twin piston gas system that's under the forend and does NOT convert to manual pump action.
