bench rest rounds compared to WSSM

looking at the 6mm BR, and 243 wssm, i don't see a lot of difference in the case design. i was just wondering why the 6mm BR is well thought of and the wssm's seem to be looked down on. should not the wssm be really accurate also. i know the wssm do not chamber from the mag well, i am only thinking of rifle accuracy.

I had a model 70 in 223 wssm that didn't chamber to well and had horrible accuracy. I now have an A-bolt in the same caliber that is 1.25" at 100 yards (so far, still working the load) and chambers just fine. The wssm's are not the beloved end all be all that winchester et al had hoped they would be, but in a proper gun they are certainly viable.
