Bellesiles in Rifleman? Back issue...

I don't archive my back issues of the Rifleman, (Perhaps I should.) and I've encountered most ill manered retraction of a pro-Bellesiles book review. (It's in the Federal Lawyer. Eugene Volokh posted it.) Sure, he has the decency to admit Bellesiles was a fraud, but in the process lambastes the NRA for fraudulently claiming that gun ownership was "universal" in the colonies, and for supposedly providing no evidence when it dismissed Bellesiles as a fraud.

As I said, I don't archive the back issues, but I kinda recall that they did cite a point or two where Bellesiles had falsified a quote. Anybody got that issue, to confirm it? I really don't want to go off on a limb before telling him off.

I'd guess that the colonists at Roanoke Island didn't have a firearm per adult male, but subsequent ones did. ;)
