Barrett REC7/LWRC

I've searched here on the Barrett REC7 and found nothing, apparently it replaces their M468. It seems their main competitor is the LWRC M6 series and both are expensive over $2,000. Does anyone have any experience with this REC7? How does it compare to the LWRC rifles?

IMHO, it would be much cheaper to get a custom build gas piston 6.8 upper. I've got one on order from www.adxtactical.com and the upper only costs me $1330. Add a $400 lower and that's a better quality system than Barrett as long as you don't use a sub-standard lower. That and you have the added bonus of having a much cleaner gas piston upper (the same system that the HK416 uses).
