Bankruptcy (Chapter 7) Question

Just out of curiosity, are firearms exempt from liquidated assets. I understand there are different laws regarding this in each state...

Kalibear45, do yourself a favor and don't discuss this on a public forum. (Been there, done that).

Call a divorce, criminal law, or other specialized attorney whose reputation is solid. Ask that specialist to recommend a bankruptcy attorney. Then set up an appointment with the recommended attorney.

The first hour is generally free, and I think you'll find that you do not want to declare bankruptcy. There are more options out there than you or I ever can conceive of.

Guns are just a part of the mix.

Good luck, and my thoughts are with you.

As someone who did Ch7 at age 21 (crazy business partner - another story).

You do not want to do it if there is ANY thing else you can do.

11 years later, I am out from under it...

Do what Kalibear recommends. Get a bankruptcy attorney. Don't ask non-specialists. Its a very complicated area and you need a specialist. I'm a CPA and we don't give out bankruptcy advice. We can prepare returns for the bankruptcyy estate but to set it all up, get a good attorney.
