The author reviews the .40 and .45 versions of the Baby Eagle. All in all, it appears that he was impressed. He had two malfunctions in the 500 round test. One was caused by a limp wrist, the other when he hit the slide stop with his support hand. Both were on the .40.

The accuracy was a little bit worse than I've come to expect from my 9mm. His best grouping was 2.0 inches using Fiochi 170gr MAJOR in .40. The worst group was with Fiochi 230gr ball in .45, measuring at 4.0 inches. The average group with the .40 was 2.69 inchest. The average group with the .45 was 3.46 inches. Shooting was at 25 yards from the bench.

Personally, the few times I've played with a bench, I averaged a hair over 2.5 inches with my 9mm using 124gr FMJ from American Eagle. That's at 20 yards, and I'm an absolute craptacular shot.

The author loved the recoil, the handling characteristics, the ergonomics, the handling characteristics, and has stated that he plans on adding the pistols to his personal arsenal.
