Astra's .45 LC (c.1980's). Anybody know when these came in, and how many?. Also, Europeans/South Americans seemed to like them...anybody here have any opinions?

Hello Faraway:

Can't comment on the .45LC caliber Astra
revolver; but many years ago I had a 4"
in .357 magnum. Beside's being a bit on
the heavy side (equal's a Smith model 28);
remarkably, the gun was an excellent shooter,
I shot quite a few handloads in this gun
while saving up enough money to purchase
my first Smith.

Best Wishes,

BIG BORE ASTRA SIXGUNS ARE

EASILY THE BEST OF THE POPULARLY PRICED FOREIGN REVOLVERS. A PAL HAS THEM IN 41MAG, 44MAG, 45COLT, AND 45ACP. THEY'RE WELL MADE AND QUITE ACCURATE.
BOTH OF HIS 41'S HAD TIGHT THROATS. AFTER THEY WERE OPENED UP THOSE SIXGUNS SHOT LIKE A MILLION BUCKS. I DON'T BELIEVE HE EVER PAID MUCH OVER 200 BUCKS FOR ANY OF 'EM.

THANKS TERRY:)

I have seen all too many recent S%Ws with too tight throats. So that shouldn't be much of a turn off when lookin at an ASTRA.
