I'd want to see it and work it first-hand before buying, if at all possible. If that means paying a bit more, go for it. So many of these will pass the headspace test, yet still have lots of rust pocks in the barrel on close inspection, or have stiff bolts, or old extractors, etc.
Wherever you get one have it Rockwell hardness tested before rebarreling. Some of the older 98 actions were not properly heat treated and the actions can sometimes be on the soft side. Have the lugs and bolt head checked especially. They can be reheat treated and the action then used.
