I'm looking for optics for a .308 on a AR platform (DPMS lr308l). I'd like to spend $200-$350, it needs to have a lifetime warrenty, and needs to take the punnishment a .308 can render. It's primary purpose is whitetail at 100-350 yards, mostly 300 yards. I do know how to use a ballistic reticle and would prefer one over a crosshair or truplex. Right now I'm debating between Burris and Nikon but I've been out of it for a while and don't know what's new out there or has changed. Any opinions or advice? Anything I should stay away from?
