Yes you can, you just don't get a second shot until you unfold it and cycle the action:

Some people like to use them with arm braces for their AR pistols. The folding is for compact storage, like in an ordinary backpack.

Hey its still cheaper than the Troy stock that slides in to the receiver and requires a special BCG.
