AR 15 80% lower ?

If you build an AR with an 80 % lower which has no seriel number on it, can you take it to a range to shoot it or do you have to keep it on your property ?

You can take it to the range and shoot it. FWIW, some folks will go ahead and etch a serial number on their completed lower to avoid any problems, but its not necessary.

You can do pretty much anything but sell it.

Depending on local laws, you can do anything with it that you can with a serial numbered lower. There are no restrictions at the federal level on selling it. Serial numbers are only required by the ATF if you are a LICENSED (hold an 07 FFL) gun manufacturer.

Check your local laws. Some localities and states I believe have recently passed laws requiring serial numbers on all guns.
