anyone changed springs out in an old CA Bulldog?

I've got an original Charter bulldog and like it a lot but the trigger is something awful.

Just wondering if I should try to change out the springs or if the design itself doesn't make it worth it. There's no sideplate, so the only spring I could actually change (I guess) is the main spring- the coil one behind the grips.

Personally, I kind of question if changing that one spring will help anything...but has anyone done it?

If it shoots at all I would leave it alone. The old Charter Arms had a hit miss on quality, in fact a lot of miss. The Son of Sam seemed to have good look with the .44 but other wise they are best left alone.
