Anybody using Wolf Primers?

Sometimes when it's all you can get locally I thought it might work in a pinch. I shoot the $4.00Wolf 22lr match and it's almost as good as Lapua $10.00, the quality is there. ( I need something to shoot between centerfire barrels cooling down)

David Tubb uses them? In this article he said he uses "Russian Primers"

Would there be any other Russian Primer?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I had a chance to snag some small rifle mag's from Wolf, and everyone said positive things about them. On some of the Winchester and Hodgdon loads for the .223 and 22-250 they call for SR mag. in the load books. Nosler, Speer to name a few. I have always had good luck with their recent issue ammo (last 5 years) and have just bought 5,000 to get me thru the summer months. I know, back off the loads then work back up after a primer change. A national Champion shooter uses these? David Tubbs? that's my take on them. Nice info below.

I recently bought 30k Wolf primers from Powder Valley, @ $90 per 5k. I bought 15k lp and 15k sr. I use the sr for 9mm reloading, also.

I just purchased 2K of Wolf SR .223 primers this past weekend from a local supplier due to availability. Savings was significant also. Not sure why they carry a special .223 designation, but figured they would work well for the intended rifle.

I may run the reloads thru the Chrony for comparison, however I doubt there would be much difference between them and the CCI/Win that I typically use.
