that are copper washed, or fully plated? I just cranked off some lead today, and I CAN'T STAND the smoke and filth, even though I was outdoors. If there is no such beast, I'll restrict myself to the 158gr SWC. Thanks.
I have not shot or reloaded these, but Berry's Manufacturing makes both a 148 grain DEWC and HBWC in .38/.357 that are copper plated. The one shop owner that I asked about them really liked them. Here is there web page from which you can order them:
National Bullet makes a 148 gr. "Copperized" DEWC ($43.50/1000). I haven't used that particular bullet but their other Copperized bullets have about a 1/1000th inch thick copper plating.
i don't think tumble lube is the answer--i shoot thousands of lee tumle lube bullets and they smoke as much as anything--the hard lubes are better-hell i've picked up bullets at the range that still had it in the grooves...Dick
