Marriage is full of trade-offs, Mr's Rembrandt wanted house dogs...I wanted a hunting dog. Miniature Schnauzers don't know the difference.

My brittany is long gone now and there is a lot more grey in my beard too. But he was a faithful hunting companion for about 13 years. I have had many good memories of those early morning pheasant and grouse hunts. This picture still hangs on the wall in my office today.

I've often thought about getting another bird dog. I just can't put the time in it takes and that wouldn't be fair to the dog.
