Anschutz MSR R22

That is an Anschutz??? That looks more like an H&K G36. I thought Anschutz was only into super accurate target rifles. What are they asking for something like that?

Fishbed77..
You win the cupie doll..it is a version of the ISSC MK22 but with an Anschutz barrel and trigger group. Really accurate and a definite trigger upgrade from the MK22. The only concern is it will only cycle high velocity shells like CCI Stingers or Agila Hyper velocity due to thier blow back system.

Steven..the MSRP is $800

Dang... $800 for a .22? I paid less for my S&W M&P Sport right before the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy!

The high velocity stuff will burn up the barrel much faster than the standard velocity stuff. While it looks really cool, I think I'll pass.

I agree that the MSRP is high but if you can find one, the price is very negotiable.
I have shot it rested at 50 yds. with the red dot and you can't imagine the small groups it will produce with the Anschutz upgrades. The 4 or 5 S&W M&P .22's at my club can't come close to it's accuracy. I was told that it will be able to take standard velocity shells when it gets broken in. We will see about that. I plan on only shooting steel plates with it.

Yeah it just to help reinforce what you said. :D

Fishbed and stephen426 were both under the impression it was the standard ISSC mk22. Figured that would help em out.

Since I've never seen one just a heads up if that gun has a match chamber Stingers are ill advised for use. The brass is slightly longer then a standard .22 and can cause damage to the rifling. To be fair I've been trying to find out what exactly it looks like but haven't found anything.

Venom..
Here is a picture again of the gun.

When I said what it looks like I meant what damage to the rifling in a match chamber looks like, but I do appreciate the gun pic. :D

I am surprised it doesn't cycle with just regular 1250fps hi velocity rounds hopefully it'll run them after the springs loosen up a bit. :(

I am hoping it shoots in with use also. I have many thousands of rimfire ammo saved but no high velocity at all. I can use them but they will not cycle as good as the few Stingers that I had on hand. The gun only has less than 400 rounds thru it.
Do you know if the use of a flash suppressor would cause a differance in cycling?

Go figure....I found a couple of bricks of the cheapest Eley Sport .22lr made in Mexico. They cycle perfectly thru the gun. The shells are sub sonic and very dirty compared to anything that I have used..but they go bang every time thru the MSR22.
