"zip ties" a.k.a. "wire ties".

What you've got in that picture is the proverbial "motley crew", more likely pirates/gangsters than soldiers considering that it's Nigeria, plus the skull makeup and their random assortment of weapons. Lots of bad stuff going down in Nigeria.

This one could be added to the powerpoint Big Don mentioned, right after the guy who duct taped his AK mag but didn't notice his spring and follower were shooting out the bottom of the mag...
