Another Anti-Gun Editorial

Yeah, I know. This is getting old. Seems like there's always some uninformed, emotional cry-baby whining about the "bad guns." This one really took the cake for me though. This mewling little POS believes that guns are the root of society's problems. I fired off an e-mail to him politely (as I could) asking him to get informed and stop spreading the ignorant tripe like is found in this article.
http://www.kcstar.com:80/item/pages/opinion.pat,opinion/377417ea.c20,.html

Here's a couple of his more enlightened quotes:
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><HR>Now it's time to expose some of the paradoxes of guns. People buy firearms to feel safe. Yet an abundance of gun victims -- including children -- are shot with the weapons in their homes.

Guns create hazards for rescue workers, too. In May people helping with the cleanup after tornadoes in Oklahoma expressed fears of the numerous guns lying amid the debris.

Everyone pays dearly for the constitutional right of someone owning and using guns. A paradox of guns is they force schools, businesses, airports, governments and communities to pay for metal detectors, security cameras and guards.

Added to that paradox is guns force us to spend more for police, courts and prisons. We also pay more for flowers, sympathy cards and funerals -- all because of guns.[/quote]

If anyone is interested in contacting this media cretin, here's his e-mail address and phone number.

Dosn't surprise me one bit, the KC Star is one of the countries more leftists liberal rags.(have told them so every time they call and want me to take the paper) Go back and read what they published last spring during the concealed carry campaign we voted on in April, they just didn't slant their editorials against prop B they flat out lied in their news stories and editorials. They weren't the little bitty ones either but the big whoppers like his Billness likes to tell.

Some of my fiends refer to it as the KC Pravada. They are very biased, they are socialist and they believe in lying to promote their agenda.

My only suggestion is don’t buy their paper when the paper fails these people will be unemployed.

Most of the TV news people in this town are not much better either...Sometimes I think they all went to the Moscow journalism school

Ahhh...the old "Gun is an animate and sentient evil being, laying in wait to kill an innocent". He then states that cops found 40 guns lying about in the debris after the tornado....So what? Bet ya they found knives, TVs, computers and Barbie Dolls too.

Note that he also says "But a growing
gun paradox in this national state of paranoia is who's to know
which gun owner is stable today but may become violently mentally
ill tomorrow?

A person who's "normal" today may be out of control, homicidal
and suidical tomorrow. Except now he has guns."

What drivel. 'Course he made his weekly paycheck with it.

Of course, they forgot to mention that "Everyone pays dearly for the constitutional right of someone" to write whatever they want. Revolutions start that way.

I'm sorry the rescue workers were concerned, but they were more likely to die of tetnus from stepping on a rusty nail than suddenly being shot by one of those rifles lying around.

There is an allied post at http://www.thefiringline.com:8080/forums/showthread.php?threadid=24613
which fits right into this. If you read nothing else, read this one. Then cut 'n past 'n email to your favorite anti-gun newspaper or TV station.

They might not show it but it's bound to make some of them squirm. On the other hand, most of them probably will look on it as an instruction manual.

When I see these anti-gun editorials or articles, I find the Home page of that paper, then look for a Feedback Forum and post what I sent the author. He might throw it in the trash, but, as long as you keep it clean you have a chance of getting past the moderator and take the author to task in public.

Unfortunately, the Star will only let you comment on what THEY think is newsworthy. Typical.
